Inside/outside printing is becoming a niche market for Wasatch Container. The North Salt Lake, Utah, sheet plant began printing on both sides of the sheet about three years ago, running jobs in two passes. The company’s new 6.18 MiniPro from BW Papersystems allows it to run the same jobs in one pass. The four-color flexo folder-gluer is configured for three color outside and one-color inside.

In an effort to handle baggage while traveling properly, at this year’s Annual General Meeting in June, IATA decided to support the global deployment of UHF RFID technology to ensure seamless baggage tracking by 2023. This decision is based on the 2018 IATA Resolution 754 defining the tracking of bags during the journey as well as the sharing of information between airlines and interline journey partners.
